Secugrid® R

Secugrid® R is a laid uniaxial geogrid manufactured of extruded monolithic flat structured bars with welded rigid junctions

Secugrid® R geogrids
are geogrids with rectangular shaped apertures. The tensile strength in machine and cross machine direction is usually not identical. The mentioned numbers in the product name, e.g. 200/40 for Secugrid® 200/40 R6 indicate the tensile strength [kN/m] in machine and cross machine direction as a 95 % confidence value.

Raw Material
R geogrids can be manufactured with polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP) bars. In the product definition the number behind the R determines the type of raw material used for the bars, e.g. for Secugrid® 200/40 R6 the 6 indicates that PET and for Secugrid® 200/40 R1 the 1 indicates that PP is the specific raw material.

Aperture Size
The values in the technical data sheets of the aperture size of the grid mesh is typically the value measured from the inside side of one bar to the other.

Roll Imprint
For the identification of Secugrid® the geogrids are continuously imprinted (at least every 5 m). The imprint is carried out on bars in cross machine direction.
