Secugrid® - high strength geogrids

What is Secugrid®?
Secugrid® is a laid geogrid for soil reinforcement, made of extruded monolithic flat bars with welded rigid junctions. The raw materials used for Secugrid® are polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP) and are perfect suited for reinforcement applications. |

Secugrid® Applications
Secugrid® geogrids are used in various reinforcement applications. To ensure sufficient bearing capacity for road construction, heavily trafficked areas and temporary access roads.
Due to Secugridīs® excellent properties and characteristics Secugrid® is best suited for steep slope stabilisation. Additionally it is possible to design geosynthetic solutions for noise barriers, retaining walls, reinforced slopes and for extensions of roads, by reinforcing the construction up to 90°.
In pipeline construction Secugrid® is installed to avoid settlement in soft subsoil conditions to prevent settlements and thus damage to the pipelines.
Various Secugrid® geogrids are certified from authorities, such as the German Federal Railway Authority.
Cost saving with Secugrid®
Secugrid® geogrids do not only provide soil reinforcement.
They also save costs due to reduction of the construction period and gravel soil material for the base course.
With the use of NAUE reinforcement materials the thickness of the base course can be reduced thus reducing the amount of excavation and soil replacement.
The unique characteristics of Secugrid® allow an effective dimensioning. Secugrid® transfers high tensile forces at low elongation values and has typically a very good creep performance. The robust behaviour is obvious during the easy installation process.
Other known advantages
Due to the unique manufacturing process Secugrid® is able to transfer the required strength in the application.
This is achieved by two distinct modes: the interlock effect of the granular soil into the grid apertures and the frictional force transfer between the soil and the structured flat bars.
Additional it is beneficial that Secugrid® has a very good strength/elongation characteristic, which allows Secugrid® to transfer a high strength at low elongations. Not to forget the excellent robustness of the Secugrid® geogrid which is demonstrated in many installation conditions.
The high quality standard NAUE is known for is ensured by the strict quality control process which is certified ISO 9001 (2000) And if the filter properties of the subsoil require a separation geotextile? Then Combigrid® is your product.
A filter stable needlepunched nonwoven is bonded between the two laid flat monolithic bars and can be installed in one process.
